When you’re adding asset “useage” hours on the “Log asset use” page, it only displays lists of assets which are marked as “needing” their hours kept track of.
This saves you having to trawl through lists of non-powered tools (eg stepladders) which don’t need their usage-hours logged. But, it could be confusing if you’re trying to add useage hours to a machine, if the machine’s been inadvertantly set to not need its hours logged! In this instance, it wouldn’t appear on the list. So, you’d need to edit the asset, to show that it does need its hours logged.
To do this: Navigate to “Categories” / “Models”, then find the relevant model, hit “Edit”, and select the relevant “Log Type” from the dropdown menu.
There’s a guidance popup which appears, when you hover over the “Log Type” dropdown. This popup will help advise you regards the appropriate Log Type to select.
